MERIDIAN
FOLLOW-UP / LAMPS OF LIGHT
ONE QUESTION · ABOUT ONE MINUTE
Did Meridian identify something real?
Tabari and Mona, this is the short version of my outside assessment of Lamps of Light. One answer is enough.
THE OUTSIDE ASSESSMENT
The mission and funding are visible. The operating picture is harder to see.
I can see the purpose, the range of programs and the support behind them. What I cannot judge from the public information is how decisions, resources and results connect inside Lamps of Light. I would need your internal view before drawing conclusions.
Tabari’s profile combines founder/executive leadership, addiction treatment and community work. Mona’s emphasizes clinical psychology and internal leadership. How are program decisions and daily operations divided between you? Who has the final say when responsibilities overlap? Who approves spending, and what is Amin’s role?
The $750,000 I.L.M.I grant award and $562,500 in reported 2024 revenue should not be treated as two separate pots of funding. Neither establishes today’s usable budget. I would want to see program costs, funding restrictions, remaining commitments and spending authority.
The program pages explain the services and planned expansion. I could not see how you track participant retention, completion, improvement or follow-up. Those measures may exist internally. Which results guide staffing, program and expansion decisions?
